E-Endorsements

The majority of endorsements processed electronically in the London Market are handled via Qatarlyst. The electronic endorsements service is provided as part of the electronic placements service. Thus, customers who place their contracts electronically on Qatarlyst can also endorse them electronically as part of the same process.

Qatarlyst also provides an electronic endorsements service to brokers who have bound the contract outside Qatarlyst, e.g. on paper. This service, known as Riskless Endorsements, lets brokers create an endorsement either by filling out an MRCE form or using their own endorsement document, and send it to their underwriters for negotiation and agreement. The final document will incorporate either option along with the underwriters’ agreement. Underwriters can respond by logging in to Qatarlyst through a web browser or, if integrated, respond by messaging.

During the Electronic Support for Endorsements pilot, Riskless Endorsements functionality is free to brokers.
